Neil here.

2020 was a banner year for the Angels & Entrepreneurs Network.

With over 90,000 members in our ranks, we are the largest financial publishers on angel investing in America. This is a movement for the ages… and it’s only getting started.

That’s why today, I want to take a moment to reflect on all of the progress we made in 2020… and all of the exciting developments still to come.

Let’s dive in right away…

We’ve Officially Recommended 79 Deals

Since our launch in June 2019, we’ve recommended 79 different startup companies across all three of our services. These companies come from every different industry, and there’s virtually no sector we’ve left untouched.

Here are three of our newest recommendations to keep on your radar now:

  1. Cortex, the company using artificial intelligence to help some of the world’s most recognizable best-in-class brands – like Toyota, Deloitte, Marriott, Oreo, and more – take their marketing strategy to the next level. Check it out here.
  2. Care Angel, the AI-enabled virtual nurse assistant that’s reducing hospital readmission by 63% while saving healthcare organizations almost $500,000 per year. This was a Research Team recommendation. Check it out here.
  3. Stojo, the company aiming to end “disposable culture” with their convenient, attractive food and drink containers made from recycled materials. Check it out here.
Keep an eye out. My team and I have been hard at work ramping our deal flow up behind the scenes, and we have plenty lined up for the New Year.

In the meantime, check out the deals available to you right now on your Deal Flow Tracker.

We Have 7 Members on Our Advisory Board

Through the year, I was joined on the Advisory Board by six more of the startup world’s top experts: David Weisburd, Don Yocham, Cameron Chell, Abe Wagner, Chris Lustrino, and most recently, Brandon Andrews.

You can read all about each one of our Advisory Board members here.

Each member was carefully considered before being selected for the board, so you can expect the highest quality startup recommendations and expert insights from each one.

I’m so excited to work even closer with each one of these guys in 2021. You’ll be hearing a whole lot more from them in just the next few weeks.

And make sure you check out Brandon’s latest blog post for The Startup Investor here.

Headlines to Watch Heading into 2021

2020 was chock full of hard-hitting news in the startup world, and we were on top of it all. I expect 2021 to be just as interesting. But in the meantime, here are three stories you should catch up on right now before the year takes off…

Put This Booming Trend on Your Radar Right Now
David Weisburd officially landed on the Nasdaq with his special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) called 10X Capital Venture Acquisition Corp. SPACs have become one of the startup world’s hottest new trends, and it’s another way many companies are choosing to go public. Click here to dive in.

Your Top Takeaways from 2020’s Biggest Headlines

We Have 54 Groups and Local Chapters

In 2020, our community exploded. We now have over 90,000 members, and many of you are part of the 54 Groups and Local Chapters hosted on the site. It’s been great to see you all connect in the forums and in our private Facebook group.

Our groups are located all across the world and include three international chapters: Slovenia, Italy, and Ontario. We even have a Virtual Chapter for those who’d like to meet remotely and a bunch of special interest groups like our Veterans Group and our Women’s Network.

Coming into 2021, it’s my goal to make our community even bigger. But I need your help to do it. If there’s a group you don’t see, reach out to my team at groups@angelsandentrepreneurs.com. They’ll help you get your very own group started.

I am incredibly excited for what’s about to be the Network’s best year yet. Thank you for being a part of this journey, and I can’t wait to show you what’s in store for the next few months.

That’s all for now, but have a great rest of your weekend. I’ll be in touch next week.

Until next time,

Neil Patel
