I know many of you are trying to figure out what’s going on with the Mealthy acquisition right now, and I want to drop in to give a quick update.
This is still an ongoing process. My team and I are monitoring the situation very closely, and we’ll share any updates along the way.
This process may take a few more weeks, but when the details are finalized you will be contacted by a representative for the company.
However, it’s completely normal not to get more information on a merger or acquisition until all deal terms are finalized (even for existing investors).
This can be for a number of reasons… deal terms can change, companies can back out, or other things may not go the way both parties want. Companies generally don’t want to share specific details until they have it all figured out.
I’ve experienced this same situation with my own investments in companies that have sold, too. With these companies, I never knew the terms of the deal until everything was final.
I hope this helps you understand the situation a little bit more. You’ll be the first to know as soon as more information is available.
Until then, enjoy your weekend!
Neil

great news!! I been here since day one and i invested in Mealthy excited for the outcomes.
Hi Neil – having trouble seeing the deal info on Mealthy – is there a one-pager that summarizes?
Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your comment – I encourage you to check out Mealthy’s deal page here: https://angelsandentrepreneurs.com/deals/676/
You can also check out their SEC Form C filings here: https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?CIK=0001769210&owner=exclude&action=getcompany
Thanks!
Sarah – I went to those links but don’t see info related to deal value – is there something else Neil has that he can share? Is there a summary of the term sheet we can review?
Hi there,
Unfortunately, we won’t know more of the details until MVP Holdings releases final info. If you’re invested in Mealthy, you will receive that information at the same time we do. For better or worse, this is just part of how the industry works – nobody will know the numbers until they decide to announce them.
Thanks,
Laura
Hi Sarah – clicked on the links but didn’t see anything indicating deal value – could you share some insight there
Of the three proposals offered, this was my least desirable. Can I make a change?
Lol
Glad we heard from you Neil, but not much info included in this video. From my understanding the deal was already finalized on July 1st. Is that not the case? Would have loved to hear more substantial information from you on this deal.
Thanks, Neil for the update! keeping fingers crossed!
Awesome!!!!!
Great thanks Neil!
Thank you Neil . You give me hope from all your expertise. Thanks again.
Monique.
I never received all my beginng offers and paperwok
Thanks Neil. I’m excited and await MVP Holdings updates.
Neil, Since this is the first M&A on A&E, can you please walk us through the entire process as an angel investor?
I’m sorry but I guess I wasn’t privy or didn’t check my mail about the “Mealthy” situation. How can I become informed about it, study it a bit more and see if I’m qualified to invest. I have no idea what the company is all about and if I do find out more, how I can specifically invest in this company. Much appreciated.
Hi Sid,, Mealthy closed quite some time ago. All the deals are shown on the deal page., Some are current some have closed already . Depending on your membership level you may only be able to view certain investments. Most of those available for all members are lower investment amounts like Mealthy, it was only a 100.00 minimum investment, while other may require more money and you may even need to be an accredited investor, which requires proof of income. At times a deal will even close up quickly before the stated closing date, if the a max funding amount is reached. Once a deal is closed you can no longer invest in it unless a second round of funding becomes available. Read all the info on this site everything is here.
Thanks Neil for the update. I appreciate you giving some feedback on Mealthy and where it is going.
What exciting news about Mealthy! This company was our first investment last year as new Angel investors. I also own Mealthy products and just love them. The last I had seen they were in Bed, Bath and Beyond, however when I went and looked the other day, boy was I surprised. They are now in Costco, Target, Walmart, Wayfair and HSN, among other stores. I am so excited. I would suggest for others to join Republic and Start Engine, These two platforms check out the companies before they presented on their websites, just like Neil and his team does on A&E. In fact, if you see it on A%E you will probably be investing on Republic and Start Engine, for a lot of the companies.
Has anyone heard anything new on this?
a term sheet that spells out the offer price, which we should be able to run through the cap table. can you please share this with us and perhaps a hypothetical, i.e., if you invested $100 – your return could be $xxx.
holding and not worried at all….
what is the latest on Mealthy as it is now Oct
Since we have not heard anything from Mealthy or the Company that purchased it, does that mean there wasn’t enough left over for us little angels, or is there still a chance? I mean, for this being my first exit I was kinda hoping for something! Anything!

Hi everyone! Neil here. Please see my latest update on Mealthy here: https://angelsandentrepreneurs.com/forums/topic/ae-update-on-mealthy/
Hi Neal, I’ve invested in Mealthy and I too was concerned in specially since I never got the “perk” I was promised, I realized that this Start Up did not have the best management team in place, I’ve discarded this investment as a loss until I received and email from the Co that acquired Mealthy ,that restored my [ trust] in this Co…lets hope they’re doing the right thing by the investors !
Merry Christmas !
